Jamie Waldrop founded The Waldrop Group with a conviction that ambitious business owners deserve more than a once-a-year tax preparer. They deserve a financial leadership team — one that thinks with them, plans with them, and shows up long before the deadline.
Under her leadership, the firm has grown into a statewide advisory practice with four offices and a reputation for clear thinking, steady counsel, and long-term partnership. Her vision continues to shape every engagement: treat each client's business as if it were our own.

Founder & Managing Partner
Founded the firm in 2009 after a career as a CPA in tax with a Big Four firm. Holds a Bachelor's in Accounting and Master's in Taxation from Ole Miss, and has been a licensed CPA for over 20 years. Works closely with small business owners on strategy, complex returns, and direct representation with the IRS and state revenue departments.

Accountant
Holds her Bachelor's of Accounting from UAB with a decade of experience in public accounting. Works closely with Birmingham small business clients on compiled financial statements in QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online, multi-state licensure, and individual and small business tax returns.

Began her accounting career as a cost accountant for Russell Corporation in 1999 and worked in public accounting before earning a nursing degree. Joined The Waldrop Group in 2025 supporting individual tax preparation, bookkeeping, and payroll tax returns.

Senior Accountant
Over thirty years in the accounting field. Serves as the primary accountant for condominium associations in the Gulf Shores office, with expertise in payroll, sales, rental, and use tax for Alabama and Florida. Also provides notary services for the Gulf Shores office.

Licensed enrolled agent authorized to represent clients before the IRS. Retired from the IRS after 37 years of service, preceded by a military career. Joined the firm in 2023 and assists with individual and corporate returns, federal and state tax issues, notices, and examinations.
